Our Wedding

It all started with a message on a dating website—a simple exchange that would lead us to something extraordinary. After a few conversations, Diana agreed to meet David for dinner, and on Saturday, April 7th, 2018, they found themselves at Wildfire, where the connection was instant. What was supposed to be a dinner turned into an unforgettable night. They wandered through the city, making spontaneous stops at D-4 and The Hyatt Centric for drinks. And then, in the most unexpected of places- Starbucks at the Hyatt—we shared our first kiss, a moment that sealed the beginning of our journey together. That evening marked just the start of what would become an incredible story. Within the first year of dating, we moved in together, adopted our first dog, and began building a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. On May 24th, 2023, David asked Diana the most important question of his life—she said yes, and they officially began their next chapter of their lives as fiancés. We share not only a deep love for each other but also a passion for exploring the world. We've made a pact to visit all 50 states before we turn 50, and we're already 11 states in! Every journey is a reminder of the love that started over dinner, blossomed into something beautiful, and continues to grow with every new adventure we take together.

Our Story

David and Diana got engaged on May 24th, 2023. One of their favorite things to do is take the, "Chickens" for a stroll outside the neighborhood, so David suggested South Pond at Lincoln Park. Unbeknownst to Diana, he had something much more special planned. As they approached a bridge overlooking the beautiful Chicago skyline, Diana thought they were just stopping to snap a quick photo of David and their beloved Chicken, Jax. While she was taking the picture, all of their closest friends suddenly emerged from hiding to suprise her. Overjoyed and still facing her friends, Diana had no idea what was coming next. When she turned around, David was down on one knee, holding out a ring and asking for her hand in marriage. She said&nbsp;YES, without hesitation.

Right after the “I do’s,” we’re kicking off our next chapter with a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon! First stop: Epic Universe in Orlando, where we’ll dive into immersive worlds, thrilling rides, and probably way too much butterbeer.Then we’re boarding Icon of the Seas, the world’s largest cruise ship, for 8 days of island-hopping magic! We’ll explore Cozumel, Costa Maya, Honduras, and the Bahamas, soak up the sun, enjoy late-night shows, and celebrate being newlyweds in the most unforgettable way.Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift. Katrina and I met during our time at SIUC in Carbondale, and our friendship began in the most unexpected place, an elevator. At a time when I was struggling with being away from home, her light and energy pulled me out of a dark place. From that moment on, my life truly started to shine. Katrina is everything, sunshine on a rainy day, a steady source of strength, and the kind of friend who loves without judgment. She's been my biggest cheerleader, my safe space, and my chosen sister. I couldn’t imagine walking down the aisle without her by my side as my Maid of Honor. She has made every season of my life brighter, and I’m beyond grateful to have her next to me for this new beginning.

With Katrina’s friendship came one of the best introductions of my life, her incredible roommate, Sam. I had no idea that meeting her would mean gaining one of the most important people in my world. From spontaneous trips to Disney World, South Carolina, and Michigan, every adventure with Sam is full of laughter, fun, and unforgettable memories. Our shared love for Taylor Swift is just one of the many things that bond us. Sam is the kind of friend who makes you feel seen, supported, and endlessly loved. Her vibrant spirit, fierce loyalty, and calming presence have brought so much joy into my life. I’m beyond honored to have her by my side as I walk into this new chapter.

I met Francesca when we were both working in HR at BP in Chicago, and from the start, we bonded over our high ambitions, love for good food, and just being great company for one another. Francesca has this incredible calm energy, she’s the one who can talk you off the ledge when life feels overwhelming. When we're together, we’re usually in tears from laughing so hard. One of her favorite sayings is, “Don’t start, Diana,” which always cracks me up because she says it with that perfect Fran tone. She’s always down for an adventure, and honestly, Francesca is the Beyoncé to my Taylor Swift, elegant, powerful, and always bringing the vibe.

Jackie and I met while working in HR at BP, and what started as a workplace friendship quickly turned into one of the most meaningful relationships in my life. We bonded over our love for quaint coffee shops, dogs, and ,  let’s be honest , some really good trash TV. “My 600-Pound Life” nights with Dr. Nowzaradan commentary? Iconic.

Jackie is the kind of friend who will hype you up on your best days and stand firmly beside you on your worst ,  even if you’re completely wrong (she’ll still fight for you, then tell you about yourself later with love). She's a true cheerleader in every sense of the word, the one you want in your corner always.

Hidden Oaks Nature Center – A relaxing spot for nature trails and wildlife viewing. Bolingbrook Golf Club – Whether you're golfing or just enjoying the view, this scenic course (also our wedding venue!) is worth a visit. The Promenade Bolingbrook – An open-air shopping center with restaurants, a movie theater, and fun spots like Bass Pro Shops and Prince Arcades. Morton Arboretum (Lisle) – Stunning botanical gardens with trails and art installations. Waterfall Glen Forest Preserve – A beautiful nearby escape for hiking and biking. Downtown Naperville or Lemont – Great for a little exploring, coffee shops, and restaurants.
